Navigating the Options Menu: A Complete OverviewUpdated 8 hours ago
The Options Menu (accessed via the Options Dial) is the control center for customizing your Orchid's behavior. Here are some of the key settings you'll find:
View: Change what's shown on the display. Choose from a simple chord name, a visual keyboard, or the popular "Geek Out" mode which shows the chord, notes, and keyboard all at once.
Audio Output: Control where the sound goes when you plug in headphones (Auto, Headphones only, Speakers only, or Both).
Playstyle: (See article #1) Tailor how the chord buttons respond.
Velocity Sense: Turn keyboard velocity sensitivity ON or OFF. Note: Not all preset sounds are currently velocity-sensitive.
Extension Addition: Decide if adding an extension (like M7 or 9) adds just the new note or retriggers the entire chord.
Upgrade Firmware: Access the firmware update mode.
As new firmware gets released, more and more user customisable options will be added.
